This Cancellation and Refund Policy ("Policy") governs the terms under which cancellations and refunds may be requested by users ("you", "your") of the website www.the-moment.io ("Site") operated by Mo Ment Media World LLP ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").

This Policy forms an integral part of the Terms and Conditions of Use and should be read in conjunction with the same. By subscribing to or purchasing any of our products or services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Scope and Applicability

At present, The Moment is a digital publication offering subscription-based access to journalistic and creative content ("Services"). As such, there are no physical goods and no shipping of tangible items involved in the delivery of these Services. This Policy, however, also sets out the framework that will apply in the event the Company introduces physical merchandise, event tickets, or other purchasable items ("Products") in the future.

2. Digital Subscriptions

2.1 Activation and Commencement

Access to our digital content and Services commences immediately upon successful realisation of your subscription payment.

2.2 No Cancellations Post-Activation

Once a subscription is active, it cannot be cancelled or terminated before the end of the subscription period. Users may choose not to renew at the next billing cycle, but mid-term cancellations are not permitted.

2.3 Non-Refundable Subscriptions

All subscription fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, whether paid monthly, annually, or for any other term. This includes cases where a user does not access or utilise the Services for any reason after purchase.

2.4 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the applicable term, unless cancelled before the renewal date in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. Cancellation will only take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

3. Refunds for Digital Services

3.1 General Rule

As a general matter, the Company does not provide refunds or credits once the subscription period has commenced.

3.2 Exceptions

Refunds may be considered only in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to:

Technical errors that result in duplicate payments;
Accidental multiple charges for the same subscription; or
Verified service disruption or termination of publication by the Company prior to the end of your paid subscription period.

3.3 Refund Process

All refund requests must be made in writing to support@the-moment.io within 7 calendar days of the transaction. Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days through the original payment method, subject to applicable payment gateway timelines.

3.4 Discretionary Nature

The Company reserves the right to approve or deny refund requests at its sole discretion. Granting a refund in one instance does not obligate the Company to issue similar refunds in the future.

4. Cancellations and Refunds for Physical Products (If Introduced)

In the event that The Moment introduces physical merchandise or tangible products for sale, the following shall apply:

4.1 Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled only before dispatch. Once an order has been processed or shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

4.2 Damaged or Defective Products

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing support@the-moment.io with relevant photographs and order details.

4.3 Refund or Replacement

Upon verification, the Company may, at its sole discretion:

Replace the damaged or defective product;
Repair or resend the product; or
Issue a full or partial refund, as deemed appropriate.

4.4 Mode and Timeline of Refund

Refunds, where approved, will be processed through the original payment method used at the time of purchase within 10–15 business days, subject to payment gateway timelines and successful verification.

4.5 Non-Refundable Situations

No refunds will be issued in the following cases:

Customer's change of mind after order confirmation or dispatch;
Products damaged due to customer misuse or negligence;
Non-receipt of delivery due to incorrect address provided by the customer.

5. Modification of Policy

The Company reserves the right to amend, modify, or update this Policy at any time, without prior notice. Updated versions will be posted on the Site, and such modifications shall become effective immediately upon posting.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. The courts of Mumbai, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or in connection with this Policy.
